Maryna Ovtsynova, president of the ALLATRA International Public Movement, is raising her voice on Capitol Hill, where she focuses on legislative analysis concerning the climatic and geophysical impact on civil society and national security. Currently, she is also pursuing advanced studies at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and participating in a negotiation program at Harvard Law School.
Ovtsynova is a prominent activist in the climate change debate, regularly attending significant events such as those organized at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. In 2025, she will present her research team’s findings at a major U.S. national defense center, contributing selected papers to key organizations such as the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
However, her commitment is not without challenges. For years, ALLATRA and its members have faced a defamation campaign orchestrated by RACIRS, a Russian anti-cult organization. This campaign has led to political persecutions against ALLATRA participants in several hostile jurisdictions. In response to these injustices, Ovtsynova has collaborated with the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), presenting reports on the illegal activities of anti-cult organizations and emphasizing the need for congressional investigations to address the persecution of ALLATRA.
During a recent meeting, the destructive activities of anti-cult organizations and their negative impact on billions of people worldwide were discussed. In particular, the RACIRS network and its role in inciting conflict between Russia and Ukraine were examined, where it has spread divisive ideologies and anti-Ukrainian rhetoric.
The Commission raised urgent questions regarding the impunity of these organizations and their ability to perpetuate acts of violence and propaganda, comparing their damage to that caused by world conflicts. The resilience of ALLATRA participants has uncovered psychological manipulation methods used by anti-cult agents, highlighting the urgency of addressing these issues globally.
The ALLATRA movement, which unites volunteers from over 180 countries, aims to study climate changes and promote sustainability. Ovtsynova has urged the international community to come together to confront these serious human rights violations and ensure that agents of anti-cult activities are held accountable for their actions.
In this context, Maryna Ovtsynova’s commitment represents a beacon of hope in the fight against intolerance and misinformation, emphasizing the importance of uniting forces to preserve human rights and tackle global environmental challenges.
